Since the maze Aidan has truly become a pale semblance of himself. He's nervous and flighty, uncomfortable in tight corners and dark places. Sleeping is difficult for him and he's plagued by nightmares. He's become anti-social and heavily reliant on Verem to exist day-to-day. He goes nowhere without his bond. Even though the two of them can't properly communicate, due to Verem's curse, they make do. Aidan would be truly lost without the unicorn-hybrid.
Was kidnapped by a being and sent to the Maze. An experiment in survival and thresholds that put him through a great deal of torture and torment.
Aidan was given a brief respite from the Maze when he was searched for a clutch at the Twisted Fate, where he bonded Verem, a unicorn hybrid with an unfortunate curse that hindered their ability to communicate.
Time moved differently in the maze. Aidan spent lifetimes there - an unknowable cycle of death an rebirth as a Phoenix. Verem, his bond, grew up in the darkness and the torment.
Aidan finally reached the end of the maze and was released, but his family was long gone. His children, phoenix-shifters themselves, would still be alive, but Aidan has lost all contact with them.
Aidan was given a lift to Mwari station by friendly travelers and now reside there in a small apartment with Verem.
